Beta Testers Required - A new update of Seconds Pro is currently being developed and we are looking for beta testers. Register interest at the beta signup page.

Changing the Timer Colors

Currently some technical knowledge is required but you are able to completely change all of the colors within Seconds Pro. It is recommended that you respect color names provided so that the app does not appear broken.

Customizing the colors

To change the colors you need to create a custom link. The link will have the format:

seconds://?action=set-colors[&color1=hexcode][&color2=encoded-hex-code]...

colorN - Must be one of the predefined color names. Valid names are grey, red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple, magenta, deep-purple.

hexcode - A URL encoded hexadecimal color value.

For example, if you just wanted to change the red color to a bright red with an RGB value of 255,0,0 (a hex value of #ff0000) you would create a link that looks like this:

seconds://?action=set-colors&red=%23ff0000

You are able to change all the colors in one link. Here is a link that will change the colors to those used in version 3.0.1.

seconds://?action=set-colors&grey=%23414243&red=%23db2c2c&orange=%23f27900&yellow=%23d9b816&green=%2329cc52&teal=%2331cafd&blue=%23189ef2&purple=%23ba419c&magenta=%23e62e5c&deep-purple=%238739bf

Once you have created your link you should visit it in Safari. Seconds Pro will launch and if everything has worked the colors will have changed within the color picker and timer.

Feel free to send me any themes you do create and I'll add them to this section with a credit to you.

Reverting to Seconds v2 colors

Version 2 of Seconds Pro was built during a different time where textured interfaces were the norm. As such the colors used for the intervals were less vibrant to fit in with the old grey interface. To revert to the version 2 colors use the following link:

seconds://?action=restore-v2-colors

If you are viewing this help on within Seconds Pro you will need to tap and hold the above link, select Copy from the ActionSheet, close the help, open Safari and then visit the link there. You will be brought back to Seconds Pro and the action will have taken effect.

Restoring the default colors

If you make a mistake or you preferred the default colors you can restore the default settings by using the following link:

seconds://?action=restore-default-colors

If you are viewing this help on within Seconds Pro you will need to tap and hold the above link, select Copy from the ActionSheet, close the help, open Safari and then visit the link there. You will be brought back to Seconds Pro and the action will have taken effect.
